Rear-Admiral (Res.) David Ben-Bashat

Former Commander in Chief of the Israeli Navy and Honorary President Or Lachayal.

Rabbi Menachem Ofen and his associates organise programs for the soldiers and officers of the IDF giving them much needed support, encouragement and appreciation.

Their activities include distributing packages of snacks and presents at IDF bases, check posts and front lines. They also conduct special programs and entertainment for IDF units, wounded soldiers and the families of fallen soldiers.

I whole heartedly endorse and support the initiatives of Or Lachyal and give them my full blessings.

DONATE A TORAH SCROLL FOR SOLDIERS

Or Lachayal makes it possible for army units without Torah scrolls to have one. Through the generous donations of our benefactors we have been able to acquire 20 scrolls. If you would like to dedicate a Torah and sponsor a "hachnasat sefer Torah" event in the merit of your family or in memorium to a loved one, we will be happy to make all the arrangements.

Tefillin for Troops

Or Lachayal initiates mass Tefillin rallies which are very popular in particular amongst not so observant soldiers who may not easily have the opportunity to put on Tefillin. Or Lachayal has also distributed hundreds of pairs of Tefillin to bases and individual soldiers. Your donations for this project make a huge spiritual difference.
